BTS member Jin has been chosen as an Olympic torchbearer for the upcoming Paris Games, according to reports from Korean media.
Scheduled to participate in the torch relay across various French cities, Jin joins a prestigious list that includes actress Halle Berry and sports icons like Tony Parker and Didier Drogba.
This honor comes shortly after Jin completed his mandatory military service on June 12, becoming the first BTS member to do so.
His participation in public events, including a recent ARMY celebration, highlights his continued popularity and engagement with fans.
The Paris Olympics are set to host over 15,000 athletes from July 26 to August 11, with notable Filipino contenders including gymnast Carlo Yulo and Tokyo boxing medalists Eumir Marcial, Carlo Paalam, and Nesthy Petecio.
