BLACKPINK’S JENNIE APOLOGIZES FOLLOWING INDOOR VAPING CONTROVERSY

Jennie Kim of Blackpink issued an apology after a video surfaced showing her vaping indoors, violating South Korea’s anti-smoking laws. 

Her agency, OA Entertainment, expressed regret and apologized for any discomfort caused by Jennie’s actions during filming in Capri, Italy. 

The incident drew criticism online, prompting calls for investigation and strict action from authorities. 

South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs acknowledged receiving petitions related to the incident. Smoking indoors is illegal in South Korea, and violators face fines ranging from KRW 100,000 to KRW 5 million. 

Jennie Kim previously discussed the pressures of public expectations and restrictions during her career in a Netflix documentary.
