BFP OFFICER FACES ARREST FOR ALLEGED LARGE-SCALE ILLEGAL RECRUITMENT

An arrest warrant has been issued for Reyca Janisa Palpallatoc, a Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) officer, in connection with large-scale illegal recruitment activities.

The warrant was issued by Pasay City Regional Trial Court Judge Ronald August Tan, who did not recommend bail due to the seriousness of the offense.

Palpallatoc faces charges under the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act and is accused of exploiting individuals for illegal overseas work.

The officer is also under investigation for administrative offenses, including disgraceful conduct.

Large-scale illegal recruitment is a non-bailable offense in the Philippines, punishable by life imprisonment.
