ATENEO BLUE EAGLES FACE LA SALLE IN CRUCIAL UAAP WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL SHOWDOWN

The Ateneo Blue Eagles are aiming for their fourth consecutive win as they take on the De La Salle Lady Spikers in the second-round action of UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ateneo, currently at 4-5, is fighting for a spot in the Final Four, while La Salle (6-3) seeks to maintain its hold on second place and secure a twice-to-beat semifinal advantage.

The Blue Eagles, despite injuries to key players, have shown resilience with senior hitters Lyann De Guzman and AC Miner leading the charge.

After a tough 1-5 start, Ateneo has found its rhythm, winning three straight matches, including a sweep of Adamson last March 29.

La Salle, coming off a thrilling win over UST, will look to extend its dominance over Ateneo, which has struggled against them in recent seasons.
