The Philippine Blu Boys and Blu Girls clinched gold medals in softball at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand, reaffirming their regional dominance.
The men’s team defeated Singapore 3-0, marking their ninth SEAG gold, while the women’s squad triumphed 4-1, extending their winning streak to 11 titles.
ASAPHIL President Jean Henri Lhuillier praised both teams for their skill, preparation, and commitment, highlighting how their performances brought pride to the country.
He described the Blu Girls’ victory as proof of the Philippines’ continued benchmark status in regional softball.
Lhuillier added that these wins demonstrate how proper support and mindset enable Filipino athletes to excel at the highest levels in the region.
