Mayor Casimiro ‘Junjun’ Ynares III and officials of Antipolo City honored Cristofer Magpusao, a brave barangay fire volunteer, for his heroism during a recent residential fire.
Magpusao, from Barangay San Roque, sustained injuries while responding to the blaze in Barangay Sta. Cruz on June 16.
During a flag-raising ceremony at City Hall, Mayor Ynares, alongside Vice Mayor Josefina Gatlabayan and other city officials, recognized Magpusao’s dedication with a plaque of recognition and a token of appreciation amounting to ₱10,000.
Despite the modest gesture, Ynares expressed deep gratitude for Magpusao’s selflessness, hoping his bravery would inspire others to serve their community.
