Alexie Brooks of the Philippines made history by winning the Miss Eco International 2025 title in Egypt on April 19, becoming the first black woman to claim the crown.
She succeeded Ukraine’s Angelina Usanova, breaking the country’s attempt for a back-to-back win, while Indonesia’s Yulinarr Fitriani was named first runner-up.
Brooks also earned the “Best in National Costume” award for her Philippine Eagle-inspired attire, marking the second consecutive year a Filipino won the distinction.
This victory adds to the Philippines’ legacy in the competition, following previous wins by Cynthia Thomalla and Kathleen Paton.
Brooks dedicated her win to her late grandmother, and her pasarela coach, CJ Opiaza, celebrated a third victory this year with her crowning.
