Alas Pilipinas head coach Jorge Souza de Brito and the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) are in talks regarding a contract extension, as both parties express interest in prolonging their collaboration.
Initially slated to move to Chinese Taipei after his contract expiration on June 30, 2024, De Brito’s potential extension comes amidst the national team’s impressive performance and prospects of a podium finish in the 2024 Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Challenge Cup.
While discussions remain unofficial, PNVF chief Ramon “Tats” Suzara’s interest in extending De Brito’s tenure signals the significance of his role in the team’s development, as stated by De Brito during a press briefing on Tuesday.
