ADAMSON EARNS PLACE IN UAAP GIRLS’ BEACH VOLLEYBALL SEMIFINALS

Adamson University secured the last semifinal spot in the UAAP Season 87 high school girls’ beach volleyball tournament after defeating UPIS, 21-8, 21-15, at Sands SM by the Bay.

The Baby Falcons, led by Ella Gonzalvo and Maegan Pineda, finished fourth in the eliminations with a 2-3 record and will face unbeaten National University-Nazareth School (NUNS) in the Final Four.

Defending champion UST clinched the No. 2 seed with a 4-1 slate and will battle third-ranked FEU-Diliman in the other semifinal match.

In the boys’ division, UST and NUNS secured semifinal berths with victories over UE and Ateneo, respectively, while Adamson and FEU-D also advanced.

The semifinals are set to take place on Sunday, with teams vying for a spot in the championship round.
