The inaugural 5150 FAB Triathlon is set to take place on November 16 at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) in Mariveles, marking the first Olympic-distance international triathlon ever held in the province.
The race features a 1.5-km swim at Camaya Coast, a 40-km bike ride across Bataan’s scenic terrain, and a 10-km coastal run, offering athletes a challenging and immersive experience.
FAB Administrator Hussein Pangandaman highlighted that the event celebrates the courage and resilience of Bataan’s people while positioning the area as a rising hub for sports tourism and community development.
Last year’s recon race drew elite triathletes who praised the pristine course, breathtaking scenery, and world-class infrastructure, with some comparing the bike route to those in New Zealand.
Supported by major sponsors, the 5150 FAB Triathlon aims to establish Bataan as a premier destination for international sporting events, blending athletic challenge with natural beauty and Filipino hospitality.
