10 P.M. CURFEW SET FOR MINORS IN METRO MANILA

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced that minors aged 18 and below will be barred from staying on the streets of Metro Manila after 10 p.m. under the “Safer Metro Manila Plan.”

Violators may be apprehended unless they can prove they are coming from school or work.

The policy is being enforced by the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Philippine National Police to boost urban safety.

Authorities will intensify patrols, especially in nightlife areas.

The measure also bans public drinking and gambling starting at 10 p.m. Exceptions will be allowed during fiestas or events with barangay permits.
