WSL LA UNION QUALIFIER AWARDS 2026 LONGBOARD TOUR WILDCARDS

Sixteen-year-old Cash Hoover and veteran Ben Skinner stole the spotlight at the WSL La Union International Pro World Longboard Tour Qualifier in Urbiztondo Beach, San Juan, La Union.

Hoover impressed with smooth style, classic carves, and solid nose-riding, earning the highest women’s total in her first heat and a 2026 Longboard Tour Wildcard.

Skinner, 41 and a father of four, leveraged his two-decade-long career to secure his first major victory in nearly 15 years.

Local surfers Rogelio Esquievel Jr. and Jomarie Ebueza finished second and third in the men’s division, also earning Wildcards for the 2026 tour.

Japan’s Natsumi Taoka placed second in the women’s competition, which featured 120 top surfers from around the world.
