WILDFIRE SURVIVORS IN LA BLAST DELAYED RESPONSE, PRIORITIZATION OF WEALTHY AREAS

After a devastating wildfire ravaged Altadena and Pacific Palisades, residents are voicing outrage over the delayed response from authorities, with some accusing officials of prioritizing wealthier areas.

Many, like Altadena resident Nicholas Norman, claim they were left to fend for themselves while firefighters focused on protecting more affluent neighborhoods.

The fire has killed at least 11 people, destroyed around 10,000 buildings, and displaced over 100,000 residents.

Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom are facing criticism for their delayed reactions, with Bass being in Ghana when the fire broke out.

Despite widespread outrage, some survivors, like architect Ross Ramsey, urge for focus on recovery before assigning blame.
