UKRAINE AND PHILIPPINES SEEK TO STRENGTHEN PARLIAMENTARY RELATIONS AFTER DELEGATION VISIT

Ukraine and the Philippines are working to revive a dormant parliamentary agreement following the first major Ukrainian delegation visit to Manila.

The delegation met with Philippine lawmakers to discuss renewing a 1990s memorandum of understanding and strengthening trade, investment, and cooperation.

Both sides also explored partnerships in science, technology, cultural exchanges, and cybersecurity.

Ukraine is finalizing several agreements with the Philippines, including on trade, agriculture, and security, while also planning educational programs on Ukrainian and Filipino history.

The visit follows Ukrainian President Zelenskyy’s June trip to Manila, highlighting the ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic ties.
