Former PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III expressed his support for the anti-corruption rallies planned for September 21, urging Filipinos to peacefully show their strength against corruption and oppression.
In a video message, Torre said the people are “angry at corruption” and tired of deception.
He emphasized that true change comes from unity, not violence, and declared his solidarity with the protesters.
The rallies, including “Baha sa Luneta” and the “Trillion Peso March,” aim to expose alleged government corruption linked to flood control projects.
The protests also coincide with the 53rd anniversary of martial law’s declaration, and Torre was recently relieved from his post as PNP chief amid internal disputes.
