Actor Tom Rodriguez expressed his well-wishes for ex-wife Carla Abellana following news of her engagement to a non-showbiz partner.
Speaking at the media conference for his upcoming MMFF film UnMarry on December 5, Tom said he only learned about the engagement at the event and wished her happiness.
He added that he is focused on his own family, having welcomed a son with his current partner, while leaving his past marriage to Carla behind.
The couple married in 2021 but separated months later, with their divorce recognized by Philippine courts last year.
Both Tom and Carla have films in the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival, with UnMarry and Carla’s horror entry Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins set to hit cinemas on December 25.
