The demand for green, healthy, and sustainable office spaces is expected to drive the office sector in Metro Manila, starting in 2025, according to Colliers Philippines.
Nearly 45% of office transactions in Metro Manila in 2024 were in green-certified buildings and Colliers projects that 61% of new office supplies from 2025 to 2027 will have green certifications.
These spaces will feature eco-friendly amenities like lower density ratios, touchless elevators, vertical gardens, and UV disinfection systems.
Key areas like Makati, Ortigas, and Quezon City are set to see the rise of green buildings, such as the Inland Altaire and Araneta Cyberpark Tower 3.
Colliers emphasized that developers must align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards to meet growing demand.
