Since its launch on August 11, the “Sumbong sa Pangulo” website has received over 12,000 complaints from Filipinos reporting issues not only with flood control projects but also with poorly constructed roads and other subpar works by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. highlighted the platform’s effectiveness in allowing citizens to directly report corruption and urged the public to continue submitting complaints.
The website provides detailed information on nearly 10,000 flood control projects nationwide, including contractor names, costs, and completion dates, and allows users to upload photos or videos as evidence.
Marcos emphasized the critical role of public participation in his anti-corruption campaign, noting that government personnel cannot inspect all projects physically.
He committed to personally reviewing the reports submitted to ensure accountability.
