Filipina gymnast Kyla Mendoza won a silver medal in the all-around finals at the Finale Nazionale del Campionato Ritmica Europa in Riccione, Italy, on May 25.
At just 15 years old, Mendoza impressed with her skill and maturity, building on her recent debut at the Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Singapore.
She credited her coach, Olga Derina, and her family for their support throughout her journey.
Mendoza described her competitions as some of the best experiences of her life and expressed eagerness to compete again.
She is now preparing to represent the Philippines at the 2025 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Milan this July.
