The Philippine Blu Girls Under-18 team is gearing up to compete in the 2024 U18 Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage from August 29 to September 2 in Dallas, Texas.
Ranked 15th globally, the team will face challenging opponents, including top-ranked United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Ireland, in Group C. Jean Henri Lhuillier, President of the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines, expressed confidence in the team’s talent and potential to make a significant impact.
The tournament offers a chance for teams to advance to the playoffs, with the top two securing spots in the 2025 Finals.
The competition provides valuable experience for young Filipina athletes, aiming to elevate softball in the Philippines.
