Senator Bong Go, through his outreach team, extended assistance to 30 families affected by a fire in Barangay 51, Pasay City, providing financial aid, groceries, vitamins, clothing, and play items for children.
During the relief distribution, Go emphasized the full implementation of RA 12076, the Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act, which mandates well-equipped evacuation centers in every city and municipality.
He also highlighted RA 11589, the Bureau of Fire Protection Modernization Act, calling for improved fire prevention, equipment, and training to strengthen disaster response nationwide.
Go renewed his support for SB 415, a proposed Rental Housing Subsidy Program, to provide temporary housing for families displaced by disasters.
The senator stressed the importance of prioritizing safety and health, while urging government and citizens alike to assist vulnerable communities during emergencies.
