SARINES SISTERS SET FOR TIGHT FINISH IN JUNIOR GOLF BATTLE

A late collapse by Lisa Sarines turned what seemed like a commanding lead into a tight two-shot advantage in the girls’ 15-18 division of the ICTSI Mount Malarayat Junior PGT Championship in Lipa City,

Batangas. Sarines faltered with a closing 79 after a double bogey on No. 16 and additional errors down the stretch, allowing her twin sister Mona to close the gap with an 81.

Despite the setback, Lisa remains in control heading into the final rounds of the 54-hole tournament.

The competition has tightened into a sibling showdown, with Mona staying within striking distance after a steady finish under challenging weather conditions.

Other divisions also saw strong performances, with leaders emerging in both boys’ and girls’ categories as players battled intense heat and windy conditions.
