Vice President Sara Duterte expressed gratitude to President Marcos for fostering unity within her family following the arrest of her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.
The elder Duterte was detained in The Hague on March 11 after being arrested by Interpol on an ICC warrant for crimes against humanity.
Despite blaming Marcos for her father’s arrest, Sara acknowledged his efforts to offer potential “forgiveness” while she arranged her father’s affairs.
In her recent visit to her father, Sara, along with his common-law wife and daughter, shared a more personal connection with him, discussing family matters rather than legal issues.
The Vice President also expressed joy in rekindling a strong father-daughter relationship, even discussing personal topics like Kitty’s supposed boyfriend.
