SAN MIGUEL EYES FINALS BERTH IN GAME 6 VS GINEBRA

Defending champion San Miguel Beer looks to close out Barangay Ginebra in Game 6 of their Philippine Cup semifinal series on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, holding a 3-2 series lead after a 115-109 win.

TNT has already secured the first Finals spot following a 4-1 semifinal victory over Meralco.

San Miguel coach Leo Austria and veteran guard Chris Ross acknowledged Ginebra’s resilience and the challenge of playing in a rocking Araneta crowd.

Ross, aiming for his 12th PBA title, contributed nine points, eight assists, and key defensive plays in the previous game.

Ginebra, led by Scottie Thompson, RJ Abarrientos, and Japeth Aguilar, will fight to force a sudden-death Game 7.
