SAN JUAN MAYOR ZAMORA RE-ELECTED AS METRO MANILA COUNCIL PRESIDENT

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora was reelected as president of the Metro Manila Council (MMC) for a second term during a joint meeting with the DILG and MMDA at Camp Crame.

Zamora was the sole nominee and won by acclamation.

The MMC presidency is reserved for senior or third-term mayors among the 17 local government units in Metro Manila.

Zamora, who was also reelected to a third term as San Juan mayor in May, first became MMC president in November 2022.

He pledged to prioritize key issues such as flooding and traffic congestion across the National Capital Region.
