San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora led the signing of sisterhood agreements with Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Surigao City, and Tandag City to strengthen collaboration in public health and social services.

The ceremonies took place on August 15, starting in Surigao City with agreements signed alongside local governors and mayors.

Zamora emphasized the honor of forging these partnerships, while officials from the Surigao provinces expressed optimism for shared growth and learning.

The agreements also cover cooperation in tourism, trade, culture, education, environment, and sports, supported by Joint Technical Working Groups to ensure effective implementation.

Leaders described the ties as a commitment to mutual development and building a familial bond between the cities and provinces.
