Twenty-six Filipinos were repatriated from Israel yesterday, with more awaiting processing amid escalating tensions following U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.
The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv urged Filipinos to stay indoors as Israel moved to Essential Activity status, suspending classes and non-essential work due to missile threats.
A Filipina in critical condition underwent major surgery after a missile attack, while six others were discharged after treatment for minor injuries.
Meanwhile, 88 Filipinos displaced by missile strikes are currently in temporary shelters, including an infant born on June 10.
The Philippine government also reported no Filipino casualties near the bombed Iranian nuclear sites but warned of possible fuel price hikes due to rising global oil costs linked to the conflict.
