Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon said evidence against Vice President Sara Duterte is growing stronger as the Senate impeachment trial continues.
He cited former OVP officer Gina Acosta’s testimony that Duterte ordered the turnover of P125 million in confidential funds to former OVP security officer Col. Raymund Dante Lachica.
Ridon said the testimony was enough, in the prosecution’s view, to establish the misuse of confidential funds.
The prosecution may also present other witnesses, including former DepEd officer Edward Fajarda, to support allegations involving confidential funds released to non-agency personnel.
Ridon said witnesses from the PSA and NBI will also examine acknowledgment receipts and alleged fictitious recipients linked to the confidential funds.
