Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla denied rumors that he was hospitalized, calling them “fake news.”
The Office of the Ombudsman, through Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano, also refuted the reports, noting that Remulla had eaten breakfast normally.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said his brother played golf on Friday morning and was scheduled to have breakfast with him on Saturday.
The rumors circulated on social media, claiming Remulla was “rushed” to the hospital amid his role in investigating the corruption scandal in infrastructure projects.
Some posts, including one by a Facebook account called “Music Opm Songs,” went viral, receiving tens of thousands of reactions and shares.
