Former Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales has endorsed Rep. Stella Luz Quimbo’s bid for mayor of Marikina, praising her as a “rare leader with both heart and competence.”
Morales, known for her strong anti-corruption stance and a Ramon Magsaysay Awardee, cited Quimbo’s clean record, integrity, and governance experience as key reasons for her support.
She emphasized Quimbo’s legislative accomplishments, including the Universal Healthcare Law, as proof of her capability.
Quimbo is running amid growing concerns in Marikina over debt, flooding, and strained public services.
Morales warned against electing unqualified leaders, saying Marikina needs someone who “knows what she’s doing.”
