Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino revealed that several high-ranking government officials are secretly working as spies for China.
He compared these officials to Alice Guo, a former mayor involved in a human trafficking syndicate.
Tolentino stated that these officials, who have held positions since before President Marcos took office in 2022, report to and take instructions from the Chinese government.
The senator also discussed a contract between the Chinese embassy and InfinitUs Marketing Solutions, a firm that allegedly hired “keyboard warriors” to manipulate public opinion and support China’s stance on the West Philippine Sea.
The Public Relations Society of the Philippines condemned the use of troll farms for disinformation and called for investigations into such activities.
