QUEZON CITY LEADS NATION IN EASE OF DOING BUSINESS, EARNS PCCI HONOR

Quezon City has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) Awards after winning for the third consecutive year under the highly urbanized city category in Metro Manila.

The recognition, conferred by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), was received by Mayor Joy Belmonte and Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD) head Margie Mejia during the 51st Philippine Business Conference & Expo.

Mayor Belmonte credited the award to the city’s ongoing digital transformation, which has simplified and automated business processes, strengthened transparency, and fostered investor confidence.

She emphasized that Quezon City’s achievement shows how innovation and good governance can work together to sustain economic growth.

The city, which first earned Hall of Fame status during former Mayor Feliciano “Sonny” Belmonte Jr.’s administration, remains a national model for efficiency and business inclusivity.
