The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has lifted the suspension on the approved fare hike for public utility vehicles, allowing the increases to take effect.
Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez said the DOTr directed the LTFRB to ensure that new fare matrices are posted inside vehicles before collecting the adjusted fares.
Traditional jeepney fares will rise by P1 to P14, while modern jeepney fares will increase by P2 to P17.
Bus fares, airport taxi rates, TNVS base fares, and point-to-point bus fares will also increase under the approved adjustments.
The fare hikes were originally approved in March but were previously suspended by the DOTr.
