The Department of Education (DepEd) is intensifying efforts to expand access to international scholarships and exchange programs for public school teachers to strengthen the country’s basic education system.
Through the Teach Beyond Borders initiative, DepEd aims to provide a centralized platform that simplifies access to global learning opportunities, application processes, and requirements.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara said these programs give teachers valuable international exposure that can help bring innovative practices into local classrooms.
The initiative also supports government efforts to improve the global competitiveness of Filipino workers and raise education standards nationwide.
DepEd said returning scholars are expected to share best practices gained abroad to further enhance teaching and learning in Philippine schools.
