Incoming Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chair Patrick Gregorio thanked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for appointing him to lead the agency.
Gregorio, who also serves as president of the Philippine Rowing Association, promised to ensure smooth leadership of the PSC.
He cited recent Filipino sports achievements, including Hidilyn Diaz’s Olympic gold and Carlos Yulo’s gymnastics success, as his inspiration to support Philippine athletes.
Gregorio expressed his honor in serving the nation and its athletes, aiming to strengthen Philippine sports.
He will succeed former PSC Chair Dickie Bachmann, with his official assumption date yet to be announced.
