PAX SILICA STILL LACKS PROJECT DETAILS, ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT – DENR

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) said the proposed Pax Silica AI and advanced manufacturing hub still has no clear project description, locator, or environmental impact assessment.

The project is planned for a 1,620-hectare site in New Clark City, Tarlac.

DENR said no EIA application has been submitted because there are no concrete project details or confirmed locators yet.

The agency assured lawmakers that public consultation and environmental checks will be part of the process once the project is defined.

Meanwhile, lawmakers raised concerns over the hub’s potential impact on water, land, and electricity demand.
