PHILIPPINES PLEDGES STRONGER COMMITMENT TO UNITED NATIONS PEACEKEEPING EFFORTS

The Philippines will make significant pledges to support global peace operations at the 2025 United Nations Peacekeeping Ministerial, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, from May 13 to 14.

Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. will represent the country at the event and announce its new contributions during the pledging session.

The ministerial serves as a crucial platform for member states to show political support and pledge enhancements for peacekeeping missions, including improving effectiveness and safety.

The event will bring together defense and foreign ministers to reaffirm commitments and explore innovative approaches to future peace operations.
