The Philippine government deported up to 100 Chinese nationals allegedly involved in illegal Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGO) and scamming, as part of its intensified crackdown on organized crime.
The deportation, conducted in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration and the Chinese embassy, followed joint raids in Cebu, Cavite, Parañaque, and Pasay.
The suspects boarded a Philippine Airlines flight to China from NAIA Terminal 1 at 10:40 a.m. yesterday.
Authorities confirmed the foreigners were apprehended in multiple scam hubs across the country.
The move aligns with President Marcos’ directive to dismantle criminal syndicates and enforce a national ban on illegal online gaming operations.
