President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. joined farmers and irrigators for a boodle lunch after inaugurating the Antong Dam and Irrigation System in Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat.
During the gathering, he listened to farmers’ concerns and reaffirmed the government’s support for the agriculture sector and food security.
Marcos also visited earthquake-hit communities in South Cotabato, where the government provided financial assistance to affected barangays.
He assured residents that their concerns would be addressed and encouraged them to share their needs with the government.
The President also inspected the implementation of the Department of Agriculture’s Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Program and the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Walang Gutom Program in the province.
