Retired and active military and police officers expressed strong support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s anti-corruption campaign during a courtesy call at Malacañan Palace.
Members of key uniformed groups, including the Association of General and Flag Officers (AGFO), praised Marcos’ actions against corruption, especially regarding irregularities in flood control projects.
The AGFO emphasized that corruption threatens national security and endangers lives, backing Marcos’ directive to investigate those involved.
Discussions also covered military concerns such as salary standardization and AFP modernization.
Palace officials reminded uniformed personnel to remain apolitical amid calls for them to withdraw support from Marcos due to corruption allegations.
