Palawan has been named the world’s top island destination for 2025 by US News & World Report.
The online outlet highlighted Palawan’s natural beauty, including the clear waters of Kayangan Lake, Bacuit Bay’s lagoons, and the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River.
The report also recommended the island for both adventure seekers and those looking for a peaceful beach vacation, urging travelers to book ahead, especially during the dry season from November to May.
Other islands on the list include Sardinia, Santorini, and Bora Bora, among others.
Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco celebrated the recognition, calling Palawan a unique paradise with its pristine landscapes and rich biodiversity.
