President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed several officials to various government agencies and commissions, as announced by Malacañang.
Peter Irving Corvera, Trygve Olaivar, and Mel John Verzosa have been appointed as Undersecretaries, and Malcolm Garma as Assistant Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd).
Former senator Sonny Angara officially took over DepEd leadership on July 19 following Vice President Sara Duterte’s resignation.
Other appointees include Roberto Diciembre as executive director of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board and Kenneth Cobonpue as Private Sector Representative for the Department of Trade and Industry-Philippine Creative Industries Development Council.
Additionally, Teresita Mabunay, Crispian Lao, Dwight Hilarion Ramos, Anastacia Notarte, Maria Eden Piadozo, and Lilia Portales have been appointed to various roles in the Department of Agrarian Reform, the National Solid Waste Management Commission, and the Professional Regulation Commission, respectively.
