The International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecution has submitted its seventh batch of evidence against former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who faces charges of crimes against humanity related to his war on drugs.
The confidential submission includes 129 items covering Duterte’s liability, barangay clearance operations, and background information for the defense.
Since April 30, a total of 267 pieces of evidence have been disclosed, with a July 1 deadline for all submissions before the September 23 confirmation of charges hearing.
Duterte has been detained in The Hague since March 12 following his arrest in the Philippines.
He faces 43 counts of murder linked to the deadly drug crackdown that reportedly killed thousands of mostly poor Filipinos.
