The government of Marcos has decided to add three more important projects to its list of infrastructure plans.
This decision was confirmed by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary, Arsenio Balisacan.
The NEDA Board has revised the guidelines for selecting and monitoring these projects, and they have approved the inclusion of the following three projects:
Extending the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway
Expanding the Philippine Rural Development Project
Upgrading and managing the Laguindingan International Airport in Misamis Oriental
By including these projects on the list, they will receive priority in the government’s budget planning and will benefit from faster issuance of permits and licenses.
Balisacan also provided an update on the overall infrastructure program, stating that 71 projects are currently in progress, and 27 more have been approved for implementation.
He expects that 12 of these projects could be completed within the year, and some of them were started by the previous administration.
