The National Bureau of Investigation is set to file cases within days over alleged irregularities involving the P55-million “golden cauldron” used in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
NBI Director Melvin Matibag said the agency has gathered documents and testimonies supporting possible charges as part of its broader investigation into PHISGOC.
The cauldron reportedly cost P55 million, although its actual cost was allegedly only around P5 million.
The NBI is also investigating several sports officials and people linked to former PHISGOC head Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano.
Matibag said the probe remains ongoing, with separate cases to be filed based on the evidence gathered.
