NBI MAY FILE CHARGES AGAINST MAYOR BASTE OVER ‘ULO’ REMARK

NBI Director Melvin Matibag said Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte may face charges of grave threat and inciting to sedition over his “ulo” statement against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The mayor’s remarks are being investigated by an NBI special task force examining threats against the President.

Matibag said the agency is also exploring whether the statements were part of a broader conspiracy, which requires further evidence.

Similar charges have already been filed against Vice President Sara Duterte over her previous statements.

The NBI said Mayor Duterte could also face charges if sufficient evidence is established.
