Over 7,200 passengers, truck drivers, and cargo personnel remain stranded across 156 ports in 10 regions due to Typhoon Uwan, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported Monday.
The highest number of stranded individuals is in the Bicol Region, where 2,590 passengers and over 1,100 rolling cargoes are affected, while ports in Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Eastern Visayas also report hundreds of stranded travelers and vessels.
Several ports in Northern and Southern Mindanao, as well as Central Luzon, continue to accommodate stranded passengers and cargo, with many vessels and motorbancas taking shelter.
The PCG advised against traveling via water as tropical cyclone wind signals remain high in parts of Luzon and Visayas.
Authorities continue monitoring the situation and coordinating assistance to ensure the safety of those stranded.
