MORE THAN 100 GOCC LEADERS ASKED TO SUBMIT COURTESY RESIGNATIONS

Over 100 heads of government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) have been ordered to submit courtesy resignations as part of President Marcos’s ongoing administration reset.

The Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG), which oversees 117 GOCCs, issued the directive to facilitate a smoother transition process.

Courtesy resignations are addressed to the President and allow the new administration to review appointments, with officials free to be retained or replaced.

Some GOCC leaders, including the Pag-IBIG Fund CEO and the Philippine National Oil Company president, have already submitted their resignations in support of the realignment.

Meanwhile, calls have emerged for certain officials, like Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo and special assistant Antonio Lagdameo Jr., to be retained amid the reshuffle.
