MMDA’S GO ISSUES APOLOGY AFTER PUBLICLY SHAMING COP, FACES LEGAL CHARGES

MMDA Special Operations Group head Gabriel Go has been slapped with a cyber libel complaint by Quezon City police officer Capt. Mann Erik Felipe, despite issuing a public apology for a confrontation last week.

Felipe filed the complaint under Republic Act 10175 after Go publicly berated him over an illegal parking incident, a viral video of which sparked public attention.

Go apologized to Felipe, the PNP, and the public, stating that he did not intend to disrespect any law enforcement officers.

Felipe, who has forgiven Go, argued that the edited video posted by vlogger Dada Koo tarnished his reputation and invaded his privacy.

He denied being arrogant during the encounter, explaining that he had only inquired about a parking ticket before being confronted by Go.
