MIGRANT DEATH ADDS FUEL TO FIRE IN HEATED IMMIGRATION DEBATE

Top U.S. immigration officials defended aggressive federal raid tactics following a judge’s ruling that such actions in Los Angeles were racially motivated and unconstitutional.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem criticized the decision as political, while border czar Tom Homan admitted physical appearance could be a factor in detentions, despite the ruling.

The controversy follows a deadly ICE raid at a legal cannabis farm in California, where a fleeing worker died after falling from a rooftop.

Tensions remain high in Los Angeles, a sanctuary city, as the Trump administration intensifies immigration enforcement.

California Governor Gavin Newsom continues to oppose federal troop deployment amid ongoing protests.
